How we work

Define the information. Connect the decisions.

DECISION RECORD / 01

Establish the information baseline

Identify the asset’s intended use, operating constraints, available surveys and appointed participants. Separate confirmed requirements from assumptions and options. A current brief needs a revision and a route for resolving open questions.

Agree the client’s decision authority and the technical or statutory appointments required. An illustrative programme or systems diagram does not replace professional assessment or an accepted project scope.

DECISION RECORD / 02

Coordinate the package boundaries

Map where structure, envelope, services, equipment and operations meet. For each boundary, identify who provides information, who supplies and installs, and who reviews or accepts the result under the actual appointments.

Connect those actions to procurement and information dates. Record proposed changes and their effects on adjoining packages before commitments follow. Unassigned responsibility belongs on the action register rather than in an informal assumption.

DECISION RECORD / 03

Report decisions and close the record

Make reporting useful to the next decision. Distinguish completed activity, upcoming dependencies, commitments and matters requiring approval. Give actions an owner and review date, with the basis of forecasts visible.

Plan completion records by package and involve the operator in defining what it needs. Identify demonstrations, relevant technical documents and remaining actions. Where areas are released in stages, record restrictions and the route for closing temporary arrangements.

Bring the brief. Build clarity.

Identify the project purpose, current information status and the decision requiring support. Include operating constraints and the appointed parties at relevant package boundaries.

Prepare an interface register.
